W.A.K.E. U.P. (Waterways Adopted Keep Environments Undamaged & Protected) is an environmental project created by the Jones Beach Power Squadron. We are a unit of the United States Power Squadron, a nationwide non-profit organization of boating enthusiasts dedicated to making boating safer and cleaner through education. We are located on the South Shore of Long Island. This project is sponsored and endorsed by the Town of Oyster Bay Town Supervisor John Venditto. Our objective is to emphasize the importance of clean boating and minimize the impact on water quality from boating activities through education and action.
